"An Argentine film director and a British events director walk onto a boat..."
Here is a brief synopsis of how they met.
Raúl won a contest to fly him to Cannes, France for the Lions Advertising festival. Nat was running an event at the festival for MOFILM. There was a party on a yacht where Nat and Raúl hit it off.
At about 7am, Natalie realized she had to return a photobooth back to a woman inside of the convention center. Raúl was half drunk and decided to help.
When they arrived back to the yacht, the dolly that Nat had used to transport the photobooth had been stolen. Raúl being a gentleman, and still half drunk, offered to carry it, on his back, off the boat.
What followed was 3+ hours of steps and missteps trying to get this massive wooden box into the building and up a couple floors. The details are all hilarious.
Long story short, at around 10:30am, on no sleep, in the hot summer sun, they made it. Raúl walked Natalie to her hotel, being a gentleman, and still a little drunk. Goodbyes were said and a high fives were given.
Neither one of them remember it being romantic at all, just lots of laughs.
Three months later Natalie invited Raúl to be her date to a friend's woodland creative theme wedding. She had rented a camper van with a dragon graffittied on the side and was ready for a road trip to Scotland.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Eventually, Raúl got his act together and finally was able to get a pig and a penguin in the same room to pop the question that all little British girls dream of hearing one glorious day, "Will you marry me?"
And THAT is a whole other story... that you are welcome to read through HERE.
Raúl & Natalie can't wait to tell you more stories as well as to hear all of your stories very soon.
